Altar Nation was born in the belief that Christian music emphasizes the lyrics, as it should, but reduces the music to background, or support, status. We don't believe that. We don't believe that, at all!!! After all, God created the music. God IS music. We believe that the music in our songs is just as important as the lyrics. Joyful Noise is a celebration. A celebration of Jesus Christ in, both, lyrics AND music. Come celebrate with us!

Fun acoustic guitar instrumentals of our favorite Christmas songs, sandwiched in between two high octane rockers!

It's probably not very often that your debut album is a Christmas album, but that's pretty much par for the course when it comes to us in Altar Nation. We were actually working on our intended debut album when a friend suggested we record the Christmas songs we had been playing in our church services. We decided that would be a fun project so we began working on both projects simultaneously. Before we knew it, the Christmas album all fell into place so we shifted our main focus on releasing the in time for the Christmas season,

This is just a fun album. There are eight acoustic guitar instrumental arrangements of our favorite Christmas songs, each with our own little flavor added. The other two songs are a little different.....

Opening the album is our version of the timeless classic, "Linus and Lucy". It starts out very traditionally but kicks into high gear a little ways into it. Just a high octane, fun song! There's nothing like two screamin', electric guitars playing in harmony!

And closing out the album is an original song that Lee and Stephen wrote. "Quest of the Magi" was our entry into the "Trans Siberian Orchestra" style of Christmas music. Based on the traditional "We Three Kings", the song starts out slow and pretty but explodes into a huge wall of sound. But then it all stops. At this point we add a section that gives a tip of the hat to one of our favorite groups, Kansas. After that, it's full out mayhem. It's a roller coaster ride of a song, for sure.
